NSW ALP Conference 2012
I attended my first ever State ALP Conference. It was certainly great theatre and was more than worth the effort. I met Larry Mockler in the city. From the Auburn Local Government Committee Gina Wilson was there early, and she was later joined by Cilla Quirk. Ed Mason and George Campbell were there after lunch. Hicham Zraika spoke to me very early in the day, as did Andrew Ferguson from Reid FEC and the CFMEU. Barbara Perry was on stage with the other opposition members of State Parliament supporting leader John Robertson. Barbara also rang me later in the day.

Well how long should it take to get from Auburn to the City on a Saturday morning? Allow at least one and half to two hours. Can you buy a ticket? No, get one at your destination because all the ticket machines and windows are closed, and the staff don't have a clue. Admittedly, the power was cut to the station. I took photos of the signs on the ticket machines and window to show the magistrate if I get a $200 fine. On getting to Town Hall station, the guy at the first exit gate I asked had no idea, and directed me to another gate. The guy at this gate let me out and said something to the effect that if I really wanted to buy a ticket, buy something from one of the automatic machines. I could take a hint!!
